Zela, a species of butterfly native to Southeast Asia with a delicate and exquisite appearance, evokes the spirit of this restaurant. For the interior design, Studio Gronda made many nods to Indo-Chinese aesthetics, creating a magical subtropical garden both outside and inside. Mirrored screens and frames overlap the outdoor vegetation, while colonial trompe l’œils dominate the dining area.
In the 3D renderings of the restaurant, we managed to reflect the laid-back style of the island. Highlights included the integration of the lush vegetation with a multitude of plants and flowers within meticulously designed rooms that instantly whisk you off to distant landscapes of Southeast Asia.
