The St. George Hotel is in a historic building located in the heart of Helsinki. It dates from the late nineteenth century and was once the printing house of the Finnish Literature Society. Brime & Robbins took advantage of this leitmotiv to make a nod to the past by incorporating subtle literary details into the design. The full renovation resulted in 150 rooms and multiple guest areas, such as the double height entrance, a more private reception area, a welcoming winter garden called “The Club”, a restaurant, a bar, themed meeting rooms and an exclusive spa.
Factoria 5 created the 3D visuals of the hotel rooms. We needed to achieve a solemn atmosphere evoking bygone times. We chose an exterior lighting typical of the city, which allowed us to recreate intimate and cosy lighting in the rooms.
